I have been a State Farm Agent since 2001 in Manhattan, KS and also proud to say I'm a Second Generation State Farm Agent in Kansas. I am a Washburn University graduate and my wife of 14 years is a 3rd generation K-State graduate. I'm a proud father of 3 incredible daughters. In my free time I enjoy spending family time outdoors in the Flint Hills. I am a member of the Manhattan Catbackers, K-State Alumni Association, Chamber of Commerce Member, and a Leadership Manhattan, KS class of 2004 graduate. I am a State Farm Ambassador for Travel and am a Silver Scroll Agent. My focus is on Auto, Homeowners, and Renters Insurance with relocations to the counties of Riley, Pottawatomie, Morris & Geary. I have worked with State Farm agents for over 30 years and have had the privilege of connecting with many wonderful people. I take pride in the customer service that we provide. My favorite past times involve my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; following local sports teams i.e. K-State, Royals, Chiefs and Sporting K.C.; gardening, reading and traveling.
I enjoy helping customers make sense of their insurance needs and there is nothing more rewarding than protecting customers' livelihood from their greatest risks. It makes my day to see our team provide superior customer service in unexpected situations when families need it most. As a K-State alum, I have called Manhattan, Ks home for over a decade. When I am not at work, you are most likely to find me at the lake, K-State sporting events, or taking hikes with my pup!
I started my insurance career 8/1/84 working for a State Farm agent in Anchorage, Alaska. After working with State Farm agents in Alaska, Colorado, Missouri, Georgia and Illinois I was excited to return home to Kansas recently (born and raised in Wamego) and join The Josh Salmans Team. We truly are a team as we share a common goal to help our policyholders manage the risks of everyday life. My husband and I enjoy camping, card games and keeping up with our two college-student daughters.
As a Manhattan, KS native I love the little apple community. Manhattan is a lot like State Farm having big amenities with a small town feel. You truly are a neighbor and not a number with our office. I'm a Kansas State graduate & love going to as many sporting events as I can. I enjoy spending time with my family & friends as well as being outdoors and working out.
My insurance career started March, 1989, working for a large health insurance company. I have had various positions in the insurance industry ranging from health insurance, supplemental insurance and title insurance. I love being a part of this fantastic team at Josh Salmans State Farm! My husband and I are huge sports fanatics and have three kids, two of which are playing sports in college.
